| July 3, 1999 - Installed a Pioneer CDX-FM1257 12-disc FM-modulated CD changer.
Cost $279 from Crutchfield. The install went fairly well, except that Ford evidently changed their wiring
scheme in the new 99 Mustangs, and I had to buy a probe to figure out which were the power leads on the stock
stereo. Sounds just as good as an RCA connected changer, but frequently skips while mounted in the vertical
position.
| June 28, 1999 - Added a Mustangworld.com sticker to the rear window.
| June 26, 1999 - Installed Pro 5.0 short throw shifter. Cost $180. I really
had problems getting the stock shifter out, and had to tap it out from underneath the car.
| June 19, 1999 - Installed aluminum Saleen racing pedals. Cost $45.
| June 18, 1999 - Reinstalled the air silencer. I think that all that hot air was hurting more
than helping.
| June 2, 1999 - Dealer performed fix of cruise control cable under Safety Recall 99S09-S2.
| May 9, 1999 - Added K & N air filter. Part E-0940. Total cost $40 for the filter, and $9 for the cleaning kit.
| April 13, 1999 - Removed the air intake silencer. Installed a cargo web on the trunk floor. | April 3, 1999 - Repaired rear license plate frame. | March 24, 1999 - Dealer performed undercarriage rust-proofing treatment - $200. | March 17, 1999 - Added William & Mary rear license plate frame - $20. | March 17, 1999 - Purchased first new car - 1999 Mustang V6 5-speed. Realized a huge amount of debt. | |
