Despite terrible goaltending, the Steamers managed to beat one of the new teams in the division, Hudson Fire, by an old football standby score of 9-6. Julz (pictured here) was not impressed by either goalie.

In other news, the first four games of the season have been posted in on the schedule page. And there are rumors of new jerseys. Stay tuned.

Notice the spike in views on my Flickr account. Just so happens that this was opening day of baseball season. I guess people must have been impressed with Heidi Watney on NESN, because she's the search term that accounted for the spike. Go figure.

We're back in the playoffs starting next week. We finished up the regular season strong last night with our second win in a row. Hopefully we can carry some of that momentum into the playoffs. And just for some motivation, if we win next week, these girls show up the second night. Stats are updated through the end of the regular season.

Too bad for the team, I'm back from vacation, and in net again. And back to losing. Sounds like the guys played better while I was gone. At least they may offer to ship me back to Australia, and I probably wouldn't turn it down. Stats are updated.

Per usual this season, last night we played only as well as the other team and managed another tie. That brings us to 3-5-5. Pretty ridiculous. But at least it was a comeback tie. And the other goalie actually showed up this week. But forgot his pads. Really?

In other news, our boy is all grown up. Chad brought beer for the first time in like three years. And actually drank one with us. It's about time.

Our last few game have been tight ones, and we seem to be fans of tying teams this year.

So in keeping with all things "tight and close", and to encourage us to finish it off in the third period, I give you this Teemu Selanne fan. I hear she will be hanging out at the next game. I wish I could take credit for being the photographer, but I can't, so give shooterman1 the photographer of the week award.

In other news, more schedule has been posted, and the league is still screwing us unfairly with Sunday games, and lying about it. I don't see anybody else who has half their games on Sunday. Jim – you are a lying douche.

Evidently my Heidi Watney photos are making the rounds again.

BustedCoverage just threw up a post showing some guy that pulled my Heidi Watney photos off Flickr and put them on a wife beater, and wore it to an Orioles game at Camden Yard.

Shouldn't I be getting paid for this or something? If I only accomplish one thing in my life, at least I can say that some white trash guy liked my stuff enough to put it on his shirt. It really does not get any better than this. Really. Light blue hat, sunglasses, and plaid shorts.

At least the guy had enough class to carry a Hartford Whalers jersey.
