Tastes Like Chicken

I woke up this morning, and hoping to have an enjoyable few minutes before walking the dog, I turned on Sportscenter, and I was subjected to Stephen A. Smith's oh so moronic comments about Dice-K's first spring training outing.

What an goddamn idiot this guy is. Just because he can talk fast, ESPN seems to think he knows what the hell he's talking about. He is not funny, not shocking, and comes off as an undereducated self-inflated ass. At least somebody should force him to stick to basketball for Christ's sake. There is no reason for S.A.S. to have any airtime concerning baseball at all.

I have to say that I am very disappointed in ESPN's (and other major networks) choice of sports anchors and commentators these days. What ever happened to the sports reporters who were normal guys who can speak slowly, coherently, without yelling at the camera, or coming up with some urban ghetto schtick?

Jim Rome, S.A.S., Stewart Scott, Pam Oliver – they are a drain on our society, all without merit, all deserving no respect at all. Their parents should be ashamed that they produced such worthless failures. Put them all on a barge to France along with Joe Buck. That would make the world a better place.

And furthermore, enough with the gimmicky segments. I don't want to watch "Negotiating with Drew Rosenhaus", "The Hot Seat", or anything concerning the national spelling bee (IT'S NOT A SPORT!). Give me sports highlights, reports, and then shut up. You are embarrassing yourselves as a network.

For now, I'm just changing the channel to Fox Sports and NESN.
